In an earlier press release I mentioned a possible scenario on how major cruise lines would introduce its cheap cruises 2012 all inclusive itineraries. My first point was that many of the low end rooms that are difficult to sell early on would be sold in blocks to travel agents and subscription buying clubs for resale. There would be no mention of these cruises on the operator’s web site. The next step is that a significant block of preferred staterooms would be reserved for historically high paying clients, preferred partners and those wanting to redeem their frequent cruiser points. There are some licentiates that are secret offered to this select group by direct contact through email and perhaps a personal phone call. I suspect there is more beneath the surface that simply a subscription service there must be tracking software embedded somewhere within the system. Those incentives will probably be in the form of complimentary upgrades and throwing in a bone like drink coupons or something of the like.
